Rosso & Bianco Winery

Francis Coppola grew up with wine on the family table because his grandfather and uncle made homemade wine in the basement of their New York apartment using grapes that had been shipped by train from California. "My family has always made wine. To hear it from Uncle Mikey, these were not fancy wines, but everyday wines, wines that were on the dinner table each night. Rosso & Bianco are my uncle Kiki's favorite everyday wines. I wanted to give these wines a permanent home."

The Coppola family tradition of winemaking continues in Alexander Valley; a long way from the New York basement where Agostino Coppola, Francis' grandfather made the family wine. Since these wines have always reflected the gracious style of everyday living, Francis Coppola Presents Rosso & Bianco winery is the ideal place for friends and family to enjoy these wines, have a bite to eat, and relax outdoors in a comfortable, casual setting. The winery is the perfect place to do just that and along with the popular Presents, Diamond and Sofia collections, the winery is also home to the more limited Francis Coppola Director's Cut and Francis Coppola Reserve wines.

Over the next several years, extensive and exciting renovations will take place at the winery. Francis sees a theme of life with a happy, Italian, family feeling; a place where families may visit and spend the entire day. The winery will remain open and encourages you to visit often and witness the evolution step by step.

While visiting the winery, enjoy a tasting at the bar, a food and wine pairing flight or items from an ala carte menu as well as seasonal items from the cafe kitchen. When you visit the tasting room don't miss the chance to view a bit of Francis' extensive collection of movie memorabilia. Take a moment to get a first hand look at the Oscars, movie props and photographs that reflect moments in Francis' film career.

On Friday evenings from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, throughout the summer, the winery transforms into a marketplace where local purveyors set up shop and offer a selection of their local bounty. The winery invites you to come and sample local favorites such as homemade toffee, honey, jam, and truffles. Don't forget the locally grown produce that proves that the Alexander Valley terroir produces more than just incredible grapes. With a picturesque view of the vineyards, live music for ambiance anddelicious focaccia for sampling, the Geyserville Neighbors Market is the perfect venue to kick off your weekend in Sonoma County.
